Sorrel Fields is a bookbinder and artist based in Seattle, working primarily in book forms, paper, digital design, leather, and letterpress. Born in NYC and rasied in New Jersey, they spent much of their life in museums and libraries. For Sorrel, their path into book arts has often felt closer to rediscovery than to discovery. Fields is the proprietor of Wrought & Bound, a Seattle-based practice focused on binding as an art made to hold and compliment others’ art.
In 2025 Sorrel joined Partners in Print as a resident printer, volunteer, and soon-to-be TA. Their work incorporates playfulness and an openness for exploration, frequently seeking new techniques or mediums to combine with the beautiful results created by the old, clunking, humming, well-oiled machines in the shop.
